Description
Two Continental Silver Miniatures, A White Metal Miniature, An Art Deco Ashtray and a Bilston Enamel Patch Box. The Miniatures modelled as a barge-form container, flying a pennant from it’s mast, with a man wearing tricorn hat at the helm and companion stood on the foredeck; the hinged cabin deck forming a lid, 3” (8 cm) high, 3¾” (9.5 cm) in length. A man with tricorn standing alongside a horse with carriage harness, on a flat rectangular base engraved with chequer-work, stamped marks to underside, 1” (2.5 cm) high, 2½” (5.5 cm) long. The third unmarked in the form of a girl alongside a dog cart, 1” (2.5 cm x high, 2½” (6.5 cm) in length. The onyx ashtray having a Moroccan marble veneer inset to one side mounted with the gilt metal figure of a seated female nude 2” (5 cm) high, 5½” x 4¼” (14 cm x 11 cm). The rectangular patch box with cushion moulded lid and ogee sides, painted with fruit and floral sprays, 1¼” (3 cm) high, 2¼” x 1½” (6 cm x 4 cm).
